Upland Bird Hunting

Interested in pursuing upland bird hunting? At Ringneck Haven, you can!

At Ringneck Haven, we strive to give hunters multiple hunt options to cater to each group’s desires. We hunt Ringneck pheasants, chukar partridge, and bobwhite quail.

In addition, we will be adding a limited number of Hungarian partridges to our hunts. To our knowledge, we will be the only preserve in Kansas offering Huns. They are an exciting covey bird to hunt with an explosive flush and rapid flight acceleration sure to challenge even the most experienced wingshooter. 

We are excited to offer a new experience to our guests at Ringneck Haven. Bird species may be combined to customize the hunt to your group's needs. Moreover, we pride ourselves on the quality of dogs we provide for our hunts. Flushing and pointing breeds are both available and guests may request the type of dogs they want for their hunt.

Accommodations can also be made for individuals with mobility or stamina issues to allow them the joy of field hunting and watching the dogs work. We have a UTV with a 4 hole dog box mounted on the rear that also has a bench seat on top for a great view of the dog work. Hunters can ride along and get out to shoot when the dogs go on point.

Between the amount of land we have available and our high-quality gamebirds, we are able to customize hunts to challenge hunters at any level of skill and experience. From taking a youngster out on their first hunt or providing a challenge to a seasoned wingshooter, we can accommodate your needs.

We pride ourselves on providing individuals with an exciting hunt at a great value. Eye protection is required for all bird hunting. No exceptions. Ear protection is suggested but not required. A Controlled Shooting Area License is the only licensure requirement to hunt upland game birds at Ringneck Haven. Licensing page
